Last week, Big Brother 21 houseguest Kemi Fakunle accused a producer of racism. Kemi told her fellow houseguests on the Big Brother live feeds that a producer named Christine tried to get her to behave in a stereotypical manner.

Big Brother 21 houseguest Kemi Fakunle has accused a Big Brother producer of racism. Kemi relayed an experience she had in the diary room. In this particular experience, Kemi felt a producer was trying to get her to behave in a stereotypical manner.

Kemi reportedly told her housemates on the live feeds she felt 100% certain that she was being portrayed as the b—-. Kemi claimed a producer named Christine told her to wag her finger and say something like “uh, uh, girlfriend.”

Kemi responded to Christine by telling her she doesn’t talk like that and told her to try again. Christine then walked back her suggestion by saying she just thought it was an option. Kemi questioned to her fellow houseguests why Christine thought it was an option and producers were trying to do.

CBS Programming Executive Thom Sherman has since responded to Kemi’s allegations. Sherman said a producer overstepped their boundaries in trying to get a soundbite from Kemi. As a result, the producer has gone through what he described as unconscious bias training.

This isn’t the first time CBS has been accused of overlooking racism. Several racist comments were made on the Big Brother live feeds. These racist comments have not been shown on television. Additionally, the first four evicted houseguests this season were people of color.

Houseguest Jack Matthews in particular, has made several comments that have been perceived as racists at houseguests. Jack has been caught calling Ovi Kabir a “brown flame.” He has also been called Jessica Milagros “a maggot” and “Consuela.”

Furthermore, he has made several violent remarks towards Kemi. He threatened to f— her up and stomp a mudhole through her chest. Additionally, he has referred to her as f—ing poison. Jack was reportedly warned by production about his behavior.

Kemi was nominated for banishment on day 1 by Jackson Michie along with David, Jessica, and Cliff Hogg III. She ultimately won her way back in the house. Her stay didn’t last long as she was banished to Camp Comeback in a 10-1 vote on Day 23. She was permanently evicted on Day 30 after she lost the Camp Comeback Competition.
