5 shocking scenes from V.C. Andrews’ Fallen Hearts on Lifetime
By Mads Lennon
2. Tony tries to rape Heaven.
Just when you thought Fallen Hearts had met its quota of twisted plot turns, we get a scene where Tony attempts to rape Heaven. Mistaking her for Leigh (like that makes it any better) he sneaks into Heaven’s bedroom and tries to coerce her into one of her mother’s old outfits. Heaven strikes him and vows to never see him again.
Apparently, Tony went into some kind of weird trance and wanted to be with his daughter because he loves Leigh, I don’t know it’s a mess. It should also be noted that Jillian dies during all the drama going on in this film too. Tony hardly seems to notice but it appears his wife checked out years ago.
1. Heaven follows in Luke Casteel’s footsteps.
With Luke and his new wife dead, Drake is fostered by Heaven and Logan. At least, until Fanny kidnaps him and takes Heaven to court for custody of the baby.
Except we all know Fanny doesn’t truly care about Drake the way she should as a mother. She just wants to ruin Heaven’s life. Initially, a deal is struck for Fanny to keep the paternity of her current baby secret in exchange for $2500 a month from Heaven.
But when the opportunity to steal Drake too comes up, Fanny takes the case to court. They wind up ruling in her favor because it comes to light that Luke wasn’t Heaven’s father, therefore she doesn’t have a blood relation to Drake.
In order to ensure Drake grows up in the best care, Heaven offers Fanny $1 million for him. It’s an eerily similar trade to the one Luke made years ago when he sold his own children and Fanny revels in rubbing that in Heaven’s face.
Still, Heaven apologizes for hurting Fanny and the two seem to come to an understanding moving forward.
