Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding shine in Last Christmas trailer
The trailer has been released for Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding’s new Christmas rom-com Last Christmas and it’s already set to be your new favorite holiday movie.
‘Tis the season! Okay maybe it’s not quite yet, but we already have our first present with the new trailer for the Christmas movie Last Christmas. The film stars Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians), as well as Emma Thompson and Michelle Yeoh (what a cast!), and the trailer looks absolutely adorable.
The film is set in London during the holiday season and centers on Emilia Clarke whose character Kate is working as a helper elf in a Christmas shop. When we meet her Katie is not exactly happy with her life, frankly she seems a bit of a mess. That is, until she meets Henry Golding’s Tom of course.

Rom-com hijinks naturally ensue, but the big reveal is that Kate was very ill some time ago and nearly died (an echo of Clarke’s real life battle with brain aneurysm while filming Game of Thrones). Thankfully, Tom seems just the person to get Kate to change her life.
Kate, who starts the trailer as a bit of a mess and who drinks maybe a little too much, begins to volunteer and help others. Judging by the trailer she also seems to start following her dreams of being a singer. Here’s hoping for a happy Christmasy ending!
The chemistry between Clarke and Golding already sparkles in the trailer so I can only imagine how fantastic it will be when we see the film as a whole. And actors aside, the whole movie with the London backdrop and beautiful Christmas shop just looks stunning overall.
As with any good Christmas movie the trailer shows us that there will be plenty of romance, twinkling lights, and music to get us into the holiday spirit. And Emilia Clarke dressed as a Christmas elf may just be the cutest thing you see today.
Honestly though, who doesn’t love a good cheesy Christmas movie?! It’s a staple of the holiday season and there’s nothing like a Christmas movie to cheer you up and get you into the spirit. Plus, with a cast this talented you really can’t go wrong.
And if all that isn’t enough for you, the movie soundtrack will include music by the great George Michael. It will also feature an unreleased song from the singer. Are you excited yet?
