Have you seen The Angry Birds Movie 2 in theaters or are you waiting for it on streaming? Once it leaves the big screen, here’s where you can expect to find it online.
Even though The Angry Birds Movie 2 underperformed at the box office this weekend, there is still a strong fan base. Not only are the games immensely popular, but merchandise sales continue to be strong. One of the reasons it could have failed to impress in theaters could be sequel fatigue or simply too many movies in theaters at the moment. Did you see it in theaters?
We still need to wait for international figures, but so far Angry Birds 2 has only gathered $10.5 million. And with a reported budget of $65 million, the movie has a long way to go. If you haven’t seen it in theaters, is it because you rather stream the movie, instead? If that’s the case, we have answers!

Angry Birds 2 is distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, which has also handled Peter Rabbit, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and the original Angry Birds. And all three of those movies have gone to Netflix after their time in theaters.
With that in mind, we can likely expect The Angry Birds Movie 2 to fly on to Netflix in about 6-8 months from now.

If you need some motivation to watch Angry Birds 2 in theaters, do it for the animated short that comes on just before the movie, Hair Love. It is amazingly well-done and a true tear-jerker. I hate to say animated shorts this year have been far better than the actual movie they are presenting.
