Charmed Season 2: 7 details, castings, and things to remember before it premieres

5. The Charmed Ones succeeded in subduing the Source.
If you recall, in the last few episodes of Charmed, Macy became consumed with the Source. In the season finale, Macy is overwhelmed by her power and begins creating fractured realities to find the one where she can keep everyone alive. Ultimately, Maggie and Mel get through to Macy.
Their bond of sisterly love clears Macy’s mind, and she decides to rid herself of the Source. Macy transfers it into a new vessel, her necklace. The necklace is broken into three parts. Each sister takes a piece and agrees to bury it somewhere secret and never tell a soul.
4. The sisters’ love interests are all gone for the time being.
Galvin, Parker, and Niko are all out of the picture by seasons’ end. Galvin is dead. Parker decides to leave town and figure out how to control his demon side, and Mel lets Niko go. The last we see of Niko, she is still wearing her ring.

Frankly, I won’t miss any of the love interests except Niko. I don’t think any of the season one romances were particularly strong through. I’d like to see future relationships have far more chemistry.
3. Alistair, Fiona, Charity, and the Elders are all dead.
Hunter’s plan to kill all of the Elders succeeds. The only one he fails to kill is Charity, but Fiona takes care of that. Then, Macy strips Fiona of her immortality.
When Fiona casts the Sacred Flame, it weakens her to the point of death, and Harry refuses to heal her. Fiona dies. Alistair dies by Macy’s hand after the Source empowers her.
