9-1-1 Season 3 will be here before you know it. One of the first shows to return in fall 2019, here’s a look at everything we know so far.

Ready for more intense drama and exciting saves? 9-1-1 Season 3 will be here before you know it. Here’s a look at everything we know about the season on FOX so far.

It’s one of the first shows to return on any of the primetime networks in fall 2019. With the earthquake episodes to beat from last year, Ryan Murphy and his team have focused on another natural disaster. It’s all about a tsunami on its way. So, what can we expect in Season 3?

Who’s returning to 9-1-1 Season 3?

More from FOX

Last season, we lost Connie Britton, which wasn’t all that surprising. After all, she had left Nashville because she didn’t want to keep doing long stints in TV shows. She appeared in 9-1-1 more as a favor to Murphy. Jennifer Love Hewitt replaced the character as the newest dispatcher.

The whole gang is returning as far as we know so far for the third season. Love Hewitt’s Maddy decided to remain with the dispatch team at the end of the second season and we’ll pick up with that storyline in the third season.

But what about Buck? He was last seen injured after the intense second season finale. Will he be able to join the firefighters again? If he does, will he be able to make things work with his girlfriend? The first couple of episodes will see him on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

WWE star in the third season

WWE star, Ronda Rousey, will have a recurring role in the third season and will be connected to Eddie. The last we saw of Eddie, he was dealing with the loss of his wife. After she made it clear she was filing for divorce, she was involved in a car accident and sadly died.

Rousey’s Lena will be introduced in the tsunami episode, and she’ll gain a “special bond” with Eddie, according to TVLine. It sounds like she’ll help him express his rage and frustration after the events of the second season.

Could this lead to a romantic relationship? Personally, I want to see more of him as a father right now, but I’d be open to the right woman in his life.

A chance to see Athena’s start

During the second season, we got to see how Chimney, Hen, and Bobby got their starts in the firehouse. Athena was a part of many of the journeys throughout their episodes, especially when it came to Hen’s. Now it’s time to find out more about Athena.

We’ll get an “Athena Begins” episode, going back to where it all started for her. While she’s not part of the firehouse, she is an important character in the series. We’ll see her get started in the police force, and it will be interesting to see who was there to help her along the way.

This episode could link into the “interesting challenges” Athena and Bobby will face. They got married at the end of the second season. What are the curveballs they’ll face already?
