Can you watch AHS: 1984 without having seen other seasons?
By Sandy C.
AHS:1984 is almost here! Fans can’t wait to watch, but there are others who are new to the show and considering picking it up. Is the upcoming season a good place to start?
If you are finding yourself caught up on the American Horror Story hype as the premiere for AHS: 1984 approaches, but you’ve never seen the series, here’s what you need to know! The simple answer is — not much. Here’s why.
You likely already know that AHS is an anthology series. This means that not one season is the same. Each chapter comes back with most of the same cast, but they portray different characters and each has followed an entirely different story. Sure, there have been many fun crossovers and several characters have returned for a few cameos, but, for the most part, each season is a fresh start.
If you’re an American Horror Story newbie, welcome! Please feel free to jump in at any time. I do suggest, however, that you begin with Season 1 and work your way up from there. This won’t only help you know who the original cast member are and get a feel of how it all began, but you’ll also better understand references and special appearances.
