16. Single Parents

When it returns: This family comedy returns on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 9:30/8:30c on ABC.

Season it’s on: The show is entering its sophomore year during the fall TV season.

Why watch it: This is one of those shows that you can just watch and enjoy. There’s no need to keep track with every single episode in order of them airing. While there’s a little character development that does connect, most of the storylines are “of the week.” And that’s what makes this so good.

You get to sit back and just enjoy. There’s no need to be a parent to find something to love about the show. The kids are great and there are some parts that parents will understand more, but this show is all about its character development of the young and adult characters.
