Hey #Momaholics, CBS’ Mom is back with new episodes for Season 7! Here are a few highlights from last night’s hilarious premiere.

After taking a break over the summer, Mom has returned to CBS! The Season 7 premiere had plenty of laughs and touching moments to put everything in perspective. This week, we saw Bonnie and Adam head off on a trip while Christy tries her best to handle business at the bar. Below are the top five funniest moments from Season 7, Episode 1.

1. Bonnie nearly goes crazy on her honeymoon

More from CBS

After finally tying the knot last season, Bonnie and Adam decide to take a much-deserved break from the daily routine and head off on their honeymoon. Bonnie, the control freak she is, chooses a relaxing, private lake house for their trip. While Adam is really digging the change in scenery, Bonnie can’t stop thinking about all the little details that are driving her up a wall.

On a phone call with Marjorie, Bonnie reveals that she is worried her current state of misery on the honeymoon is an indicator that her and Adam’s marriage was a mistake. Marjorie calmly suggests Bonnie find an AA meeting near the lakehouse and was beginning to offer an alternative before the call drops unexpectedly. Furious, Bonnie throws her phone down and chucks a small table off the balcony into the water below.

2. Christy tends bar while Adam’s gone

While asking a recovering alcoholic if they could watch over your bar while you’re out of town for a vacation may seem like a risky move, Christy has shown herself to be responsible enough to handle the task. Many would simply ensure the business stays afloat and in one piece while the owner is gone, but not Christy. She takes it upon herself to get the bar in tip-top shape before Adam comes back.

Among other changes, Christy reorganizes how the bar numbers tables. Tammy can’t pick up on the concept of clock-wise fast enough and keeps giving tables the wrong orders. Additionally, Christy decides it would save precious time if the bar shortened the names of all the menu items. Nachos, for example, are now “chos” and if a customer orders beef nachos, those can be referred to as “b. chos.” While Christy is all for these changes, Tammy and the rest of the staff are less than thrilled.

Bonnie looks on as Adam reads a book. Mom airs Thursday at 9/8 central on CBS.

3. Bonnie changes someone’s life

At the meeting Bonnie goes to in a small town near the lakehouse, she meets a young woman named Patty (played by Katie Micucci) who is really struggling to stay sober. Patty really related to Bonnie’s share and revealed that she is a single mom but doesn’t currently have custody of her child.

Bonnie, the opportunist that she is, relays the exact same message Marjorie gave her earlier, that alcoholism is a disease, and like other illnesses, require constant care and attention to get better. Patty is blown away by this realization, and declares Bonnie “the wisest woman in AA.”

4. Wendy, Jill, and Marjorie come to the rescue

In response to Christy’s changes at the bar, the regular staff, with the exception of Tammy, go on strike till Adam returns. Unfortunately, the bar gets slammed that night and Christy isn’t able to handle all the patrons by herself.

Tammy decides to take matters into her own hands by calling on the ladies for a little help. Marjorie comes to tend bar like an old pro, Jill puts on her best waitress smile and goes around taking orders, and Wendy (who quickly adopts all the shortened dish names) runs food orders.

Patty and Bonnie have a heart to heart over dinner. Mom airs Thursday at 9/8 central on CBS.

5. Bonnie becomes Patty’s sponsor

After inviting Patty over to the lakehouse for dinner, Bonnie and Adam really get to know the struggling woman. Patty is “kinda” married, works as an animal groomer, and lives in the back of the pet store on three dog beds lined up together. In a rather touching moment, Patty tells Bonnie that she gives her so much hope for a better future and asks if she would consider becoming her sponsor. Taken aback, Bonnie accepts but sets firm ground rules to not call after 8 P.M. because “her marriage comes first.”
