The Arrowverse is about to get a little more Supernatural. Osric Chau has landed a role in the crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths. Here’s what we know so far.

Everywhere you turn, Supernatural actors are showing up in other CW shows. Off the back of Alaina Huffman joining The 100, we now learn that Osric Chau has signed up for a role in the Arrowverse’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover, which will already feature Supernatural‘s Katie Cassidy Rodgers.

A little has been shared about Chau’s role in the upcoming crossover. There’s even a hint that he could take on a more regular role moving forward in Legends of Tomorrow. I’d be up for that!

More from Supernatural

According to TV Insider, Osric Chau will play Ryan Choi, who is a Ivy Town University physics professor. He’s just living a normal life until he learns he has a pivotal role in the upcoming crisis. Sound a little like Kevin Tran learning he has a pivotal role in the war with the Leviathans and the future of the Earth? Chau certainly has plenty of experience in that.

It’s worth noting that Ryan Choi in the comics is a teen genius who becomes The Atom after Ray Palmer vanishes into the microverse. We know that Brandon Routh, who plays Ray Palmer, in Legends of Tomorrow will be leaving during Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 along with his wife, Courtney Ford (yep, another Supernatural actor), who plays Norah Darkh, according to Deadline.

There’s been a natural turnover of characters on the superhero series. It’s never a complete goodbye either, and the characters will be welcome to return where the story allows. However, it indicates that there’s place on the Waverider for a new Atom. Could that be Osric Chau?
