The Purge promises to keep the thrills while exploring life beyond Purge Night

During The Purge panel at NYCC the series made it clear that exploring life beyond Purge Night will still have all the tension, thrill, and conspiracy fans love.

Fans of the USA Network series, The Purge, got a taste of what to expect in Season 2 during NYCC 2019. While the franchise is known for its terrifying night of legal crime, including murder, the second season will be taking a leap into the unknown; the aftermath of The Purge.

After witnessing an advance screening of the Season 2 premiere. The cast and crew took to the stage to discuss what is on the horizon for their characters; along with what fans can expect.

This season will focus on what happens during the 364 days leading to the next Purge Night, and how the aftermath of the previous purge affects everyone. It will be centered around four different individual characters, each of them affected differently during the last purge.

Some fans might not expect this new season to have quite the same thrills as they have become used to, but the series is promising it will.

Fans can also expect a lot of questions that have been asked about the franchise to be answered, such as what happens if you commit a crime after Purge Night? What is the emotional aftermath like?

Creator James DeMonaco credited fans during NYCC for the inspiration to take the series down this different road, pointing out it was questions asked during Comic Cons that helped make this new season become a reality.
