The box office results are in and there’s no question about it, Joker is King! How much has the movie gathered and which other movies made it to the top 10?

Box Office Mojo has revealed the top 10 movies of the weekend and Joker is No. 1. There was never any doubt that Joker would beat all competition, but we just couldn’t have predicted the movie would perform so remarkably well at the box office, especially for being an R rated movie. What did you watch in theaters this weekend?

A lot of R-rated movies have been exceeding expectations recently and Joker is the latest to do so. The movie gathered over $93 million despite sparking controversy. No matter where you stand in all of this, though, everyone behind the movie is enjoying the winnings. And the $93 million are just domestic figures! Joker takes with it the biggest opening of October (so far), No. 2 for the fall season, No. 2 for Rated R opening weekends and widest R rated releases, and there are likely more to accomplishments to come!
