Supernatural Season 15 premiered with a bang and plenty of great moments. Here are the five best lines from Back and to the Future.
Supernatural Season 15, Episode 1 certainly started the final season with a bang. We got plenty of twists and turns, excellent moments, and standout lines. Taking a look at the lines before we get into the next new episode, here are my five favorite ones from “Back and to the Future.”
The lines come from a mixture of characters, whether they offered some temporary comedic relief or took us deeper into the current situation. You can let me know at the end if other lines stood out for you.

I don’t know if they’re zombies, Dean. I think — I think whenever the souls came up from Hell that they-they just…
I love that Sam actually tries to figure out what they’re dealing with. When they should all be figuring out a way out of the crypt, Sam realizes that they’re not dealing with zombies of the traditional kind. It’s just like Sam, and this episode captures that side of the character perfectly.
Plus, for the audience, the show makes it clear that this isn’t an episode of The Walking Dead. These monsters are different—just empty bodies possessed by spirits.

I knew He would do something like this. He’s always so squirrelly, you know, with the — with the — the robe and the beard and the smile that’s, like, half-nice, half “I’m gonna rip your throat out.”
Dean brings up something I’ve always thought about Chuck. The minute he was confirmed as God, I looked back at the episodes. Honestly, I didn’t see it at first. There are still moments when rewatching Season 4 that I still can’t see that he’s God, but that doesn’t matter.
One thing is for sure. Once he’s confirmed as God, there are moments that make it clear he’s not always a good guy. He does have a smile that suggests he’ll rip your throat out.
Well, last I heard he was just sitting there. Yeah, but if he got out, I mean — ugh. I mean… he wouldn’t hold a grudge, right?
Belphegor has some great one-liners. Just his “Hello!” that looked like Jack was back was perfect. However, this line is the one that stands out for me in the Supernatural Season 15 premiere. He tells Dean about all the doors in Hell opening. Every. Single. One.
That means the Cage is open. It’s sad that Dean doesn’t ask about Adam, but he deeply fears Michael. Knowing that Michael can get out is extremely bad. That means Michael can come for revenge. And Belphegor knows that’s something Dean fears right now.
Hey, do you remember when we were little? What I would do to distract you whenever I’d rip off a Band-Aid or something like that?
Dean has a great moment when they’re discussing the past. He’s patching up Sam’s wound and we get this story of what they did as kids. I’ve always loved these moments in the show but they’ve been few and far between in recent years. Even if we get no others, I’m glad we got this one in the premiere.
We got work to do.
Finally, there’s only one line that stands out for pretty much every member of the fandom. “We got work to do” is the classic line from the pilot episode. In fact, this line came with the flashback to the pilot episode when Sam closes the trunk, ready to find Yellow Eyes to get revenge for Jessica.
Now Sam is ready to face against all the ghosts of Hell. Billions of souls and just the two of them. Dean likes the odds and Sam doesn’t seem to bat an eyelid.
