If you’re not already obsessed with Jenny Slate, you will be after watching her special, Jenny Slate: Stage Fright, now streaming on Netflix. Will you be watching?

Known by many as Jean-Ralphio Saperstein’s sister Mona-Lisa on Parks and Recreation, Jenny Slate also stars as Missy Foreman-Greenwald on Big Mouth, Gidget in The Secret Life of Pets 2, Miss Nanny on Muppet Babies and Ponyhead in Star vs. the Forces of Evil. But now, Slate also has her own comedy special–Jenny Slate: Stage Fright-now streaming on Netflix.

Jenny’s slate eccentric cackles and screams are hard to forget and she’s made quite a name for herself in the comedy sector of film and television despite having a rocky start after being fired from Saturday Night Live for cussing on the show.

While Slate says she went through a lot of self-doubt at the time, she certainly lifted herself back up in style and now has hundreds of thousandths of fans in love with her, her comedy, and her unforgettable, adorable, animated creation, Marcel the Shell.

Slate is clearly best when her creativity is unobstructed and, luckily, in her Netflix comedy special, Slate has the freedom to express herself left, right, up, down and diagonal. Profanity filter not included.

Jenny Slate: Stage Fright is about the actor and performer’s life-long struggle with bearing herself and her jokes in front of an audience, as well as how SNL torched the fire when they gave her the boot. But Slate’s stand-up show is also about growing up, intimate moments with her family (especially Nana) and overcoming people-pressure to allow her loud, gorgeous, brilliant, colorful self to break through.

What’s so wonderfully unique about Slate’s special, other than the larger-than-life comedian herself, is that the show is sprinkled with clips and photos of Slate’s life now and as a kid playing the violin, picking her nose, and just trying to find her place in the world.

Jenny Slate: Stage Fright is, in every way, authentic Slate and now it’s time for us to pop some popcorn and stream the heck out of this stand-up. Will you?
