Richard Speight Jr. jumps into the director’s chair for Supernatural Season 15, Episode 5. Here’s a look at the synopsis to see what to expect.

Supernatural Season 15, Episode 5 sees Richard Speight Jr. step into the director’s chair. It’s the first of three episodes he’s directing in the final season, and here’s the synopsis for “Proverbs 17:3” to see what to expect in the episode.

The proverbs mentioned in the title could certainly give us an idea of what to expect. It talks of how fire burns silver and gold, but the Lord will test our hearts. Is there a chance that we’ll see Rob Benedict back as God or is someone else going to play God? There are a few demons and angels that tend to want that position, after all.

What exactly does the synopsis tell us about the episode? Does it work with the proverbs from the title? Here’s a look at the official synopsis from The CW:

"Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean’s (Jensen Ackles) routine case turns out to be anything but."

Like the synopsis for Season 15, Episode 4, there isn’t much to go on for the episode. What it does tell us is that there’s likely another monster-of-the-week case with just the Winchesters. Of course, there’s a chance that Jack or Castiel could be part of this episode as both of them seem to have their own storylines for the season.

It’s interesting that The CW is working with one-line synopses. Over the years, the synopses have become a little too spoilery especially ahead of the previous episode before release. For the final season, it’s certainly refreshing going into the episodes knowing very little.
