The Flash has made Season 6 all about Barry Allen accepting his role as a martyr during the Crisis but it appears as though a solution has presented itself: A solution in the form of Nash Wells.

On the latest episode of The Flash, Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) and Nash Wells (Tom Cavanagh) become trapped in a tunnel leading to The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett). They almost get inside when Nash makes a critical mistake about the resonance frequency. His error results in a cave-in.

While most of “Kiss Kiss Breach Breach” follows Joe and Nash coming to terms with their own mortality as the oxygen depletes itself, they’re saved by Team Flash. Once everyone is in the clear, Nash drops the bombshell news that he knows how to save Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). The question is: How?

More from CW

Considering every prior season of The Flash has concluded with Barry evading an untimely demise, it makes sense that Nash would know how to prevent the Flash’s vanishing this time around too. He doesn’t provide any exact details but that cliffhanger gives us hope.

What does Nash Wells have planned next for The Flash?

Reasonably speaking, Nash (Cavanagh) likely knows how The Monitor and The Anti-Monitor work their magic on other worlds. And if he’s familiar with their methods of manipulation, Nash probably understands the prophesied events can be prevented.

Assuming he knows something that can change the game for Team Flash, Nash will have to come clean. He’s been keeping his secrets close to the chest so the newest version of Wells needs to bring Central City’s heroes up to speed. They know Nash is from another Earth within the Multiverse but they don’t know exactly what he’s on Earth-1 for.

What’s of more importance is how Nash Wells intends to save Barry Allen from disappearing during the “Crisis On Infinite Earths” event. None of the unconventional solutions presented so far have worked so there’s still a level of doubt surrounding the claim. Fortunately, the series’ namesake gives us the impression that Barry will survive.
