1. Avengers: Endgame
Original Release Date: April 26, 2019
Box Office Earnings: Considering Avengers: Endgame went on to surpass Titanic and Avatar to become the highest-grossing movie of all time, it’s safe to say its box office earnings were excellent.
Critical Acclaim: The film came extremely close to earning itself a perfect score across the board from critics. It was more divisive amongst Marvel fans, many of who are still debating the merits and downfalls of the movie to this day and will likely continue to for a long time to come.
About the Role: Again, Rudd reprises his role as Scott Lang. For a movie full of tributes to the original six, it might be surprising that so much time is spent dedicated to Scott’s character but it truly is fitting due to his ties to the quantum realm. Scott (and the rat at the beginning) played a pivotal rule in saving the universe and bringing back everyone who vanished in the snap.
Simply the Best: Scott Lang fans were very satisfied with the role he played in this film. His character received a well-rendered arc that served his character and family quite well. Scott was desperate to do whatever it took to save Cassie, Hope, Hank and the rest of his friends after discovering what had happened during his time in the realm.
Plus, Avengers: Endgame is the culmination of more than 20 films in the MCU. It was a movie of epic proportions that will not be replicated again anytime soon.
