Sunday Night Football gave FOX a great boost to the ratings. But that wasn’t the only network to see positivity in the Sunday TV ratings.

Sometimes, Sunday Night Football can work to scripted shows’ advantages. That was certainly the case in the TV ratings on Nov. 10. FOX got ane excellent boost to the ratings but wasn’t the only network to have a good night.

With the 19.4 million viewers and 5.3 demo rating that Sunday’s football overrun gained, it’s not surprising to hear that The Simpsons saw an almost 200% increase in the total audience and a 162% increase in the demo. It won the night in the scripted line-up in the demo.

The positivity held for FOX, with Bless the Harts up 86% and 80% in the audience and demo, Bob’s Burgers up 36% and 33%, and Family Guy up 31% and 50%. Not a bad showing, right?

Meanwhile, most other networks had a great night. The CW remained steady or slightly up in all ratings, with Batwoman in with 1.16 million viewers and a steady 0.3 demo, holding second out of all CW shows. Supergirl was steady in the demo, but up almost 10% in the total audience. There’s nothing to worry about these two shows.

CBS’ night was mixed, but still on the good side. God Friended Me‘s metrics may have been down (and the demo was down by 14%) but the total audience was still the best of the entire night for the scripted lineup, coming in at 6.14 million viewers. The only show outside of the football to beat it (NBC won the overall night with 19.92 million and a 5.9 demo tuning in for the Vikings at the Cowboys) was CBS’ 60 Minutes with 7.98 million (a 27% dip, which is normal for a show like 60 Minutes).

NCIS: Los Angeles held steady in the demo and was up 5% in the total audience. I don’t think we have anything to fear for this Sunday night staple. While the show is the lowest out of all three NCIS series (Sunday timeslot is partially to blame), the series is 11th out of 20 shows on the network. This series is likely to be renewed.

Madam Secretary‘s demo was down another 25%, taking it to a CW norma, but the total audience was up almost 4% and won the timeslot.

Eyes are on the ABC shows, mainly The Rookie. The TV ratings for the sophomore crime dramedy were up 20% in the demo and 7% in the total audience. It’s the second week in a row the total audience ticked up, and the show continues to remain a better player than last season’s Sunday night offering from ABC.

The only ABC show to see a drop in both metrics was America’s Funniest Home Videos, which has already been renewed. Even if it hadn’t, this is a show that costs little to air so would be a highly likely renewal. Kids Say the Darndest Things will also likely be renewed, as it sits third out of five unscripted shows on the network.
