It hurt saying goodbye to Bobby in Supernatural Season 7, Episode 10. At this point, we didn’t even know if we’d see him again. Would he choose to remain a ghost or go to the afterlife with the reaper? There was so much we hoped for when it came to Bobby, and it looked like we wouldn’t get it.
However, while it was heartbreaking, there were some excellent lines from the episode. “Death’s Door” brought us so much love and compassion. Here are the five best lines from the episode.
You’re too hard on yourself. You’re more of a cranky drunk.

We learn that before Karen’s death, she and Bobby had an argument. Bobby didn’t want children, something he never told Karen before their marriage. It was heartbreaking for Karen, but more heartbreaking for Bobby as he had to live with the regret that he couldn’t resolve this argument before having to kill her days later.
Rufus had to dig into finding out why Bobby wouldn’t want kids. As he admitted that he didn’t want to turn into the abusive drunk his father was, Rufus points something out that made us all smile. Bobby wasn’t abusive or mean. He was just cranky most of the time.

I was a kid! Kids aren’t supposed to be grateful. They’re supposed to eat your food and break your heart.
If you’ve got kids, you know what this is like. Kids are ungrateful. They don’t realize everything we do for them until they’re older. And it’s usually when they have kids of their own that they appreciate everything.
However, Bobby’s dad could never see that. It’s Bobby who is able to point out the truth, as he gets the chance to face his father.
As fate would have it, I adopted two boys. And they grew up great. They grew up heroes.
Bobby’s father tries to tell Bobby that he would have made a terrible father. We all know different. We know that Bobby became the best damn father the Winchester brothers could have. Yes, much better than John.
Bobby was there for his boys. They didn’t just turn into heroes of the world, but into honorable men. And it’s clear from Bobby’s memories in Supernatural Season 7, Episode 10 that it was because of the “cranky drunk.”
Bobby… you’ve helped. You got handed a small, unremarkable life, and you did something with it…You’ve done enough. Believe me.
The reaper delivers an excellent line to remind us of how important Bobby was. It’s at a moment that Bobby is sure that he isn’t done yet. He needs to be around for the Winchester brothers.
While I don’t like that the reaper is trying to take Bobby away, I do respect that it’s just the job of a reaper. And in this moment, we see that reapers get to know who their next souls are to help them cross over.
You’re either laughing because you’re scared or you’re laughing because you’re stupid. I’ll see you soon, Dick.
Dean takes one of the lines, as he gets the chance to face Dick Roman. After a threat, Dick laughs at Dean. However, you can tell in this moment that Dean will not forget everything that Dick has done. He’s going to make sure the Leviathan pays.
