The nurses are understaffed and overworked in The Resident Season 3, Episode 6. Meanwhile, Cain takes on a risky surgery. here’s what to expect.

Things with Cain continue to go from bad to worse in The Resident Season 3, Episode 6. Here’s a look at what to expect and how to watch live on FOX tonight.

Titled “Nurse’s Day,” there’s certainly a storyline that involves the hospital’s nursing staff. Often overlooked and undervalued, it’s not surprising to read in the synopsis that the nurses are understaffed and overworked. Bell continually wants to save money (granted, the hospital needs to save money) and the nursing staff cuts seem to be the first port of call.

More from FOX

I expect there will be threats of strike action unless Bell does something. Nic will likely be the voice for the rest of the nursing staff, as she fights to gain more to join her staff.

Meanwhile, Cain’s situation is going from bad to worse. During a poker game, he decides to bet with surgeries, and it looks like he’s going to gain a risky one. It’ll be one that’s so risky that will bring the hospital under scrutiny. Will this and the previous surgery involving the white supremacist end up leading to Cain’s firing.

He may bring in the money, but is that really enough to protect him? Sadly, it possibly is. We have to hope that Chastain will find a way to get rid of him, though, right?

The Resident Season 3, Episode 6 will also bring us a meeting between the Raptor and his birth mother. The moment in the last episode with his adopted parents was beautifully sweet. It’s not surprising that he needs to face his birth mother, but at least he’s made it clear that his adopted parents are the ones he loves dearly.

Speaking of birth parents, though, Conrad’s dad is back in the hospital. It turns out that he’s been taking the drug that may have been linked to Jessie’s death. Will this be everything Conrad needs to prove there’s something wrong with the drug?
