Last week, casting director Robyn Kass announced the former houseguests would be giving casting advice to fans. These pieces of advice would become available starting Monday. Today’s piece of advice came from Big Brother 17 & 18 star Da’Vonne Rogers.

Da’Vonne’s advice was to be your genuine and authentic self, know the show you are auditioning for, have a strategy, and have fun. That’s 3 people now saying to be yourself on your audition. That’s pretty obviously a key factor in making it on the show. When Da’Vonne said to know the show you are auditioning for, she says you don’t necessarily have to know the players, but you at least have to know the game. I’d agree with this because you want to leave a good impression on casting producers and not go into anything blind.

As far as having a strategy goes, if producers know this, they can be a good judge of how good you’ll be as a player, so it should help. Da’Vonne is also at least the second person to mention having fun with it. As Da’Vonne says, it is not as if you are applying for a job or anything. If you’re having fun with it, it is likely going to make producers feel better about picking you.

Da’Vonne’s time on Big Brother

Da’Vonne’s time on Big Brother was short lived. Between 2 seasons, she lasted a total of 73 days. Da’Vonne was known for her loud personality and not being afraid to confront fellow houseguests. Da’Vonne was safe the 1st week of Big Brother 17 when she won the BB Fast Forward. However, her volatile personality caught up with her in week 2 and she was evicted 7-2. The lone votes to keep Da’Vonne came from Jason Roy and Audrey Middleton. Despite being the 2nd person evicted on Big Brother 17, she was one of four returnees on Big Brother 18.

On Big Brother 18, Da’Vonne led the charge to take out numerous big targets such as Tiffany Russo and Frank Eudy. However, this was her downfall as she ultimately became one herself. She was evicted 6 to 2 in week 6, making her the 1st member of the jury. The only votes to keep her came from Natalie Negrotti and Zakiyah Everette.
