Chicago Fire Season 8, Episode 8 preview: Firehouse 51 without Severide
It was only a matter of time before Severide got pushed to arson against his will. Chicago Fire Season 8, Episode 8 sees him on that job. Here’s how to watch it live.
At the end of the last episode, Severide found out he had no choice. He was leaving Firehouse 51, but at least he protected Herrmann at the same time. Now it’s time to see how Firehouse 51 deals without Squad’s lieutenant in Chicago Fire Season 8, Episode 8.
It’s not going to be easy for the group of firefighters. Kidd won’t be happy that she only sees her man at home, while Squad is going to feel out of shape with a new lieutenant. Who exactly is going to take over that role, after all? Could this cause some drama as someone new steps in?

Herrmann is the focus again in this episode, titled “Seeing Is Believing.” When an apartment catches fire, he finds himself needing to learn what caused it. Could this connect the Firehouse 51 storylines to Severide’s?

After all, Severide is making waves in his new job, and not good ones. He refuses to just push a few papers around. One of the things that makes him such a great arson detective is that he is resilient. He’ll work until he’s found the cause, knowing when something doesn’t feel right.
Instead of leaving an old case, he decides to reopen it. This could link into whatever apartment fire Herrmann is working on, proving that Severide is just the type of guy arson needs. It’s a shame that he’s so good at something he doesn’t want to do. Not that he isn’t great at leading Squad 3, but he’s just got so much talent in arson.
