There are several movies headed to theaters this weekend, among them is The Good Liar. What will you be watching?
The Good Liar, starring Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen, is now playing in theaters. But there are so many new movies to select from this weekend, what makes The Good Liar stand out from the rest? Is it worth watching over the others? Here’s a movie preview!
Over at Rotten Tomatoes, The Good Liar has a fresh score of 63% from critics. Since the movie doesn’t arrive in screens until this evening (in select theaters and wide over the weekend), there is still no audience score available. Judging with what the critics have to say, do you think this is a worthy watch? While 63% isn’t the highest we’ve seen, especially for such an impressive cast, it’s still not a bad score.
To compare, Charlie’s Angels has an even higher score, currently sitting at 65%, while another upcoming debut, Ford v Ferrari, is critic’s favorite at 90%! Ford v Ferrari, starring Matt Damon, Christian Bale, Jon Bernthal and others, is the clear winner, but if you have time (and the budget) for a double feature, will The Good Liar be on your list?
The Good Liar follows Roy (McKellen) as he sets his sights on Betty (Mirren), a recent widow who is worth millions — and Roy wants every single penny of her fortune. They began to date and grow closer, but this isn’t a simple transaction as Roy was hoping. Who will turn out to be the liar in this story? Though I haven’t watched the movie, I can tell there’s going to be an exciting twist here and I can’t wait to watch!
The movie is now playing early in select theaters, launching in more screens Friday, Nov. 15, along with Charlie’s Angels, Ford v Ferrari, The Irishman (select markets), and Honey Boy. Let us know what you’ll be watching this weekend!
