In the latest episode of The Good Place’s final season, the gang waits for The Judge’s final verdict on the experiment and the fate of humanity.

After countless twist, turns, acts of sabotage, and everything in between, there’s nothing left for The Good Place gang to do but wait. In last week’s episode, they threw every last ditch effort in their arsenal to the board to see what stuck. In attempting to close out the experiment on a high note and prove the humans are capable of change, they encountered the same issues that occurred in the first experiment — and its hundreds of unprecedented reboots

But this week, The Good Place leaves Team Cockroach waiting on the edge of their seats for The Judge’s finale decision about how the experiment fared and its ultimate findings. There’s no telling what the future will hold for the fate of humanity and the afterlife, but Eleanor gave it her all as architect. And considering that this is merely the eighth episode out of a final season of 14 episodes, “The Funeral to End All Funerals” will to the beginning of a new shocking left turn.
