Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in Ford v Ferrari, now playing in theaters. Will you be watching it this weekend or another new debut?

If you have a need for speed, then we have the movie for you to see this weekend. Academy Award-winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in Ford v Ferrari, which opens in theaters on Nov. 15.

Based on the extraordinary true story, Ford v Ferrari showcases the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 and the battle between Ford and Ferrari. Damon plays Carroll Shelby, a legendary American car designer who is hired by Ford Motor Company to design a vehicle that could potentially defeat the dominant Ferrari racing team in 1966. Shelby teams with Ken Miles, played by Bale, a fearless British driver, to build the Ford GT40.

Together, Shelby and Miles team up to tackle the laws of physics, corporate interference, and their own personal demons. Directed by Academy Award-nominated James Mangold, Ford v Ferrari has an excellent supporting cast that includes Caitríona Balfe as Miles’s wife, Jon Bernthal as Lee Iacocca, and Tracy Letts as Henry Ford II.

If you like Oscar-nominated films, then you should see this film. Ford v Ferrari will run both Damon and Bale for Best Actor. The film is also expected to compete for nominations in Best Picture, Orginal Screenplay, Cinematography, Film Editing, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing.

According to VarietyFord v Ferrari could generate over $20 million at the North American box office, which should be good enough for first place. Find showtimes near you on Fandango, Atom Tickets, or another site of your choice.
