5. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014)
Original Release Date: November 21, 2014
Box Office: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 managed to make more money than its successor, which is surprising given the follow-up film would be the final one of the franchise. The penultimate movie earned 755.4 million dollars overall.
Critical Acclaim: Some fans and critics disliked this movie because it has less action than previous films in the franchise. That said, it still received mostly positive reviews thanks to its intriguing plotline about political conspiracy, rebellion, and the evolution of Katniss into a real symbol of resistance.
About the Role: As we mentioned before, Dormer plays the role of Cressida. Mockingjay: Part 1 is her first movie in the franchise.
Simply the Best: Cressida is part of the team assigned to Katniss by President Alma Coin. Katniss and Cressida share more scenes in this movie as they travel to various places in Panem to get film footage of Katniss being the Mockingjay.
Cressida is very skilled at what she does as a director. Her goal is to make Katniss look like the action heroine we all know she can be. That task is easier said than done, as Katniss was never comfortable becoming the symbol of rebellion.
