1. Remember The Titans

The last movie to be underrated in the Disney franchise is Remember The Titans. There is no better movie to close out to then this one. Remember The Titans became the family favorite in my household and one of my all-time favorite Denzel Washington movies. This movie represented heart, don’t judge a book by its cover, and how football can change the way others see you.

What is the movie about: Set in Virginia, the movie follows the story of after winning 15 seasons, high school football coach, Bill Yoast is replaced with a new head coach named Herman Boone. Yoast and Boone have different approaches when it comes to leading a team but they have to find common ground in town that is not so accepting towards the other race. The story shows the incredible way of changing a town’s views of the color of a person’s skin through football. Even the football players have a hate for each other but the end realizes the brotherhood they shared for one another.

Why should you stream it: Remember The Titans  highlighted some many keys points in today’s society. One of my favorite to watch was Boone leading the team into the cemetery and talking about his brother and the war he fought in. It was telling the team to put away whatever issues they have with each other and coming together to win the game. Teamwork makes the dreamwork.

Personally, I feel this movie does not get talked about in today’s time. It showed us the value of getting to learn about one another and how football can bring together all sort of people from any race together.  It teaches viewers the importance of working team rather than fighting one another through the love of football. Remember The Titans needs to be celebrated more on Disney Plus.
