NBC

Onto another network that is choosing to bench shows for the spring in favor of new shows. One of those series is The Blacklist, which won’t return from its fall break right away in January. Instead, the 2020 TV return dates will see Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector take over the Friday night slot.

It looks like NBC is opting for just one hour of scripted drama on Friday nights and two hours of Dateline. That does make sense when you consider the success the network has had with this setup so far, but it is disappointing, especially when it means Blindspot‘s final season is held for the summer.

However, the great news is Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns to Thursdays but at an earlier time. This show is coming back with Season 8 already in the bag, so we’re definitely not complaining. And then there’s a date for Good Girls to premiere its third season in February.

Of course, Manifest is on the list, which will return for its second season. This show was held to the midseason mainly to avoid too many weekly breaks and avoid the winter hiatus. It is a show that benefits from week after week episodes.
