Dean had to deal with his daughter coming to kill him. Here are the five best lines from Supernatural Season 7, Episode 13.
Dean met his daughter in Supernatural Season 7, Episode 13. Of course, there was something mystical and supernatural about it. Like with every past episode, I’m delving into my favorite lines from the episode.
This was one of those with twists you could sort of see coming as information about the monsters was revealed. It was also one of those episodes that saw Dean hesitate, which doesn’t happen often.
Yeah, well, the guy it belonged to was beat-up and old, too. But I was very close with him and I’d hate to lose it.

Dean is looking for Bobby’s flask and realizes that it’s been left at Lydia’s. I’m surprised he even takes the flask on nights out with him, but he does. He needs something that’s Bobby’s close to him so he can keep some sort of sanity.
More importantly, this line shows us just how much Dean misses Bobby. It’s touching. The line also foreshadows things to come without us really noticing it at first.

This morning, Emma was a baby. By sunset, she’s Hannah Montana. Early years.
I’ve always loved the pop culture references throughout Supernatural. This line has always stood out because it is so absurd, though. Dean knows about Hannah Montana. I watched a lot of TV at this point (I still do) and had no idea about Hannah Montana. How does Dean, unless he has a thing for Miley Cyrus?
Yeah, uh, “didn’t match anything human” usually seals the deal for me.
Sam certainly has a way with sarcasm now and again. This is one of those times. Dean admits that the case may just be one of theirs after all. What sealed the deal? Well, for Sam, it’s the fact that it doesn’t match anything human.
Yeah, that would probably seal the deal for any hunter out there. I just love the state the obvious moment, as the brothers try to figure out exactly what they’re dealing with.
He has a system. His files are set up like his brain.
This is a line I could relate to. A lot of people ask me why I don’t have a system for my files or my work. Well, there is a system and it works for me. It’s in my head.
Bobby had exactly the same thing. If you asked Bobby where something was, he could have been able to tell you. He’d have even been able to explain why it made sense if he could be bothered. This was just a reminder of everything that we missed about Bobby. I loved that he wasn’t just forgotten about (and it’s something I’ve loved about Sam recently with Rowena).
Dean, the thing is, tonight… It almost got you killed. Now, I don’t care how you deal. I really, really don’t. But just don’t — don’t get killed.
In the end, Supernatural is about two brothers who need each other. Dean is slipping with the loss of Bobby and Sam can see it. This episode is the final straw. Dean nearly died and it scared Sam.
We get this moment of Sam just asking Dean to be careful. Dean can cope however he wants as long as it means he stays alive. He’s supportive throughout it all.
