Two weeks ago, casting director Robyn Kass announced the former houseguests would be giving casting advice to fans. These pieces of advice would become available starting last Monday. Today’s piece of advice came from Big Brother 16 houseguest and 2 time Survivor player Caleb Reynolds.

Caleb’s advice was to be yourself. Basically, this means to be everything you are off camera. His other piece of advice was to have fun.

Well, what do you know? Another piece of advice telling you to be yourself and have fun. Producers will definitely know if you aren’t being yourself and you won’t get picked if you just created a character.

Caleb’s time on Big Brother 16

Caleb was known on Big Brother 16 by his nickname “Beastmode Cowboy.” He was also known for his one-sided crush on fellow houseguest Amber Borzotra and his absurd life stories.

Caleb started off Big Brother 16 in a strong position. He was part of the 9 person Bomb Squad alliance formed in the early days of the game. The Bomb Squad quickly had a falling out when Devin Shepherd overplayed his hand and targeted Zach Rance.

Caleb was 1 of 2 HOHs in week 1 along with Frankie. Caleb nominated Donny Thompson and Paola Shea for eviction while Frankie nominated Brittany Martinez and Victoria Rafaeli. Brittany and Victoria won HOH, dethroning Frankie and leaving Caleb in charge. Donny Thompson won the POV to save himself and Caleb named Joey Van Pelt the replacement nominee after Joey openly told The Bomb Squad about her plans for a women’s alliance.  Joey was evicted 13-0.

Caleb was able to remain safe in week 2. However, in week 3, he was nominated for the first time. Derrick Levasseur nominated him alongside Jocasta Odom for eviction in hopes they would win the Battle of the Block Competition. Nicole Franzel nominated Amber and Donny for eviction. However, Amber and Donny won the Battle of the Block, dethroning Nicole and leaving Derrick as HOH.

Donny also won the POV that week and chose to use it on Jocasta. This allowed Derrick to nominate Devin, who had gone rogue the previous week, for eviction. Devin was evicted 11-0.

Caleb would remain safe for two more weeks. On the front end of week 6’s double eviction, Nicole and Donny were the two HOHs. Donny nominated Caleb and Victoria for eviction while Nicole nominated Jocasta and Zach for eviction. Caleb and Victoria won the Battle of the Block, ensuring their safety and dethroning Donny as HOH. Christine won the POV and chose not to use it that week. Derrick was able to flip the house to save Zach and Jocasta was evicted 6-2.

On Day 49, Caleb won his 2nd HOH. Due to the double eviction, Caleb didn’t have to worry about Battle of the Block during this HOH reign. He nominated Donny alongside Hayden Voss for eviction. However, Donny won the POV to save himself and Nicole was nominated in Donny’s place. Hayden was evicted 5-2.

In week 7, Christine and Nicole won HOH. Nicole nominated Caleb and Frankie while Christine nominated Donny and Zach. During the Battle of the Block Competition, Caleb refused to help Frankie, but Frankie single-handedly won him and Caleb the competition, ensuring their safety. As a result, Nicole was dethroned as HOH.

Zach then won the POV to save himself and Nicole was named the replacement nominee. At the live eviction, Nicole was evicted in a 6-0 vote. This made Nicole the first to ever from HOH to evicted in the same week.

In week 8, Frankie and Derrick were the 2 HOHs. Frankie nominated Caleb and Cody for eviction while Derrick nominated Christine and Donny. This plan backfired on The Detonators when Christine and Donny won the Battle of the Block, ensuring their safety and dethroning Derrick as HOH.

Frankie then won the POV and used it to save Caleb. Zach was named the replacement nominee. At the live eviction, Zach was evicted 5-0 and Nicole re-entered the game.

In week 10, Caleb won his 3rd HOH Competition of the season. Caleb nominated Christine and Nicole for eviction. Christine won the POV to save herself that week and Caleb named Victoria the replacement nominee. Nicole was re-evicted in a 4-0 vote.

Caleb remained safe during the backend of week 10’s double eviction and week 11. After week 11’s reset twist, Caleb won his 4th HOH of the season. He blindly followed Derrick and nominated Frankie (who genuinely wanted to take him to the final 3) and Victoria for eviction. Cody won the POV that week and chose not to use it. Frankie was evicted 2-0.

At the final 4, Caleb’s move to evict Frankie backfired on him. Derrick won HOH and nominated Caleb and Victoria for eviction. Cody won the POV and chose not to use it that week. Cody had the sole vote to evict that week and evicted Caleb. Caleb returned on finale night and voted for Derrick to win Big Brother 16.
