9-1-1 and Prodigal Son returned from weeks off down in the ratings. Dancing With the Stars ended it season up in the Monday TV ratings.

What a night for TV. 9-1-1 and Prodigal Son returned from a week break, Dancing With the Stars aird its season finale, and The Good Doctor aired its fall finale. How did the Monday TV ratings look?

Things weren’t spectacular for FOX but nothing to worry about. 9-1-1 and Prodigal Son both returned down, but that isn’t all that surprising. After all, it was the Dancing With the Stars finale. 9-1-1 had the biggest dip out of the two shows, but still managed to come in joint top in the demo with NBC’s The Voice.

Meanwhile, The Voice was also down, likely due to Dancing with the Stars seeing a 32% boost to the demo and 16% boost to the total audience. In fact, the ABC dancing competition took the top spot for the total audience, with .05 million more viewers than The Voice.

The great night continued for ABC, with The Good Doctor‘s fall finale up by 25% in the demo and 11% in the total audience. It won the night in the timeslot and was the second-best scripted series of the entire night behind 9-1-1.

Meanwhile, NBC saw another tick up for Bluff City Law. Sadly, it will be too little too late as the series is pretty much unofficially canceled at this point. The only way it’s getting saved is if NBC thinks it will do well as a summer series.

CBS and The CW had a mixed night in the Monday TV ratings. After a successful week last week, The Neighborhood was down 29% in the demo and down 12% in the total audience. This will be linked to ABC airing the finale for Dancing with the Stars and with FOX’s scripted programming returning.

The dips continued for the comedy lineup, with Bob Hearts Abishola down by 10% and 5% respectively. I doubt these dips are anything to worry about, though. Both comedies have been excellent parts of the Monday night lineup.

ALL RISE — A drama that follows the dedicated, chaotic, hopeful, and sometimes absurd lives of judges, prosecutors, and public defenders as they work with bailiffs, clerks and cops to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal system. All Rise and Bull are the two shows to be concerned about, although Nov. 25’s ratings looked good. All Rise was down in the total audience but up 9% in the demo. Meanwhile Bull was up in both demo and total audience to come in second in the timeslot.

As for The CW, All American‘s demo slipped a little but the total audience ticked up. Black Lighting was up in both metrics. I don’t think the two shows will be canceled outright, but the writing is on the wall considering the ratings. Fortunately, The CW looks at more than just the live ratings knowing that its audience is more likely to watch through delayed viewing and through Netflix.
