Disney Plus: 8 movies we’re still waiting for on the streaming service

Disney Plus may offer everything Disney (and we are loving it), but there are still movies we’re waiting for on there. Here are the top eight and when they’ll be available to stream.

One would think that, as soon as Disney Plus launched, everything ever created by the company would be released at once. I sure did, other than Disney Plus exclusives, of course. But it is, unfortunately, far more complicated than that. There are still many contract dates Disney has to honor, several which are still not expired at other streaming services, such as Netflix.

Until Disney breaks free from all other contracts, their entire library won’t be available to stream. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining (at least not too much), as I’m sure we are all still enjoying and taking in everything the new streaming service has to offer. Not to mention, Disney Plus originals such as The Mandalorian has kept us busy and entertained.

Still, there are big blockbusters Disney fans are dying to be able to stream on the service! Below are eight of the most anticipated movies we can’t wait to watch, as well as the date they’ll become available.

More from Disney Plus

Thor: Ragnarok: Can you believe Thor: Ragnarok aka one of the best and funniest Marvel Cinematic Universe movies is still not streaming on Disney Plus? That’s right, it’s still part of Netflix’s library. Disney is wasting no time in adding it, though, as it’ll be available as soon as it leaves Netflix’s door on Dec. 5.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi: This is another movie Netflix continues to have a hold of. So if you want to watch it before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is in theaters (Dec. 20), you’ll have to stream it on Netflix. Otherwise, wait for it on Disney Plus on Dec. 26.

Black PantherHow crazy is it that Black Panther, which was released in the year 2018, is not at Disney Plus yet? Watch it on Netflix! It won’t be streaming on Disney Plus until March 4, 2020.

Watch your favorite shows on fuboTV: Watch over 67 live sports and entertainment channels with a 7-day FREE trial!

National Treasure: Judge me all you’d like, but I enjoyed National Treasure a great deal! It’ll join its Disney brothers and sisters on April 1, 2020.
