Want a good Christmas movie to get into the Christmas spirit? Watch Holiday Rush on Netflix! Holiday Rush gets you into the holiday spirit with heart and a little bit of romance.

Holiday Rush is a charming family comedy streaming on Netflix that shows the meaning of coming together as a family through the hard times. If you ever wonder how your family would react if you have to sell your brand new house and move back to your old house, then this is the movie for you.

The latest holiday film on the streaming service provides heartfelt comedic moments for the family with romance putting us into the holiday spirit. Holiday Rush tells the journey of the #1 DJ in New York, Rush Williams, reshaping his family views of what Christmas truly means after losing his job and being ready to fall in love again after losing his wife.

Rush and his business partner and producer Roxy decides to make an investment in their own radio station after being fired from their old station after another company buys them out. In order to put up the money for the station, Rush has to sell his beautiful new home and move back into his old house with his Aunt Jo.

More from Netflix

Aunt Jo (Darlene Love) is the backbone behind Rush family, providing advice during the hard times to make you appreciate how special having an aunt is. Well, as you can imagine, Rush’s kids did not take the news well since they haven’t gone back to their old house since Paula, their mother, died.

Throughout, you see his kids struggle to adjust to their new life and learn to let go of the material items they are used to having. Now, I can say Rush’s kids are very much spoiled and think money grows on trees.

From the beginning of the movie, Rush and Roxy’s special chemistry is the first thing you notice in the movie. There’s no denying that Rush and Roxy have feelings for each other with all the flirtation they have throughout the movie. Romany Malco and Sonequa Martin-Green need to star in another rom-com because their chemistry is too magical.

Rush and Roxy struggle to build the station because their old radio station manages to shut down every plan they have to launch. Through tests and trials, they bet the competition and their old boss Marshall (Dean Cole) invests in the station becoming No. 1 again.

What I do wish the movie had more of is Paula (LaLa Anthony). I did enjoy Paula moments in the flashbacks in their old house with the kids. Holiday Rush shows how the holidays are a special time and makes you realize how important it is not to sweat over material things. It also teaches viewers how you may lose a spouse, but it’s okay to find love again. Holiday Rush is a great family movie for the holidays to gather the family around.

Next. Queen and Slim has many great moments but sends no real message. dark
