The Masked Singer saw a small dip in the live TV ratings on Dec. 5. Meanwhile, SEAL Team saw a bigger drop and Stumptown was up. Here’s a look.

Dec. 5’s live TV ratings weren’t the strongest ever. Despite every network except NBC having new episodes of regular programming, almost everything dipped.

NBC opted for the 87th Annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center. It was down from last year’s special, and by a large amount. The demo dipped from 1.3 to 1.1, while the total audience dropped from 8.4 million to 6.68 million.

You would think those viewers would watch many other shows, right? Sadly, everything in the 8 p.m. timeslot dropped, except for Survivor, which was up 10% in the demo and 3% in the total audience. The Masked Singer won the night with its 1.8 demo, but the audience would be off with a 2% drop.

CBS’ night didn’t continue with the great results Survivor got. The SWAT reruns skews things, but SEAL Team was down 12% in the demo and 6% in the total audience. I don’t think this is anything to worry about right now, but hopefully, the ratings are up next week for the fall finale.

ABC’s night was mostly down, except for Stumptown. The crime dramedy remained steady in the demo (matching the SWAT rerun and NBC’s Making It) and the audience was up 11%. It’s going to be the delayed viewers that save this show because Wednesday nights are not good.

As for NBC’s Making It. The third episode saw an upward tick in the audience, but not enough to justify renewing the show just yet. The 2.83 million viewers was one of the lowest of the night but it was steady from the audience pulled in by The Moodys.

The CW had a mixed night. Riverdale‘s demo was down by 10% and the audience down by 5%. However, that audience mostly stuck around for Nancy Drew in the second hour (down 6% from the previous episode but not surprising considering Riverdale‘s audience). The Nancy Drew demo was up 11%. I think we’ll get more seasons of both.
