Here’s when The Good Place Season 4 returns on NBC in January 2020 with its final episodes and when we’ll say goodbye to the gang in the series finale.
It’s almost time for The Good Place to weave its last shocking yet heartwarming tale. The fantasy-comedy series left us for the year ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday with a landmark episode for the final season. But how long do we have to wait to tune back in and find out what happens next for our for favorite characters?
Here’s everything you need to know about the final episodes of Season 4 and when you’ll be able to watch them.
The Good Place will return on NBC with new episodes after the new year. Back in its usual timeslot, the comedy begins airing its final episodes on Thursday, Jan. 9 with the tenth episode of the final season, titled “Putting Cruelty First.” There’s currently no synopsis for and photos from the episode, but we can expect the return episode to pick up in the aftermath of “The Answer,” which featured a pivotal turn of events for Eleanor, Chidi, and the future of humanity.

If you’re wondering how much longer we have The Good Place for, there are technically only four episodes left in the season and of the series. We’ll have to officially say goodbye to Team Cockroach on Thursday, Jan. 30 as NBC bids farewell to the beloved comedy with a 90-minute lineup.
Beginning at 8:30/7:30c, the hour-long series finale will air ahead of an aftershow with the cast (and likely creator Mike Schur) with host Seth Meyers.
In the past, seasons of The Good Place have started streaming on Netflix just before or around the same time as the premiere of a new season on NBC. However, since a new season won’t be coming down the pipeline next year, there’s no telling if the final season will arrive for streaming ahead of schedule. Also, it’s worth keeping in mind that NBCUniversal’s streaming platform, Peacock, will launch sometime next year, and The Good Place could very well be on the move.
