The Holiday stars Kate Winslet as Iris Simpkins and Cameron Diaz as Amanda Woods. In London, Iris is still in love with her coworker, who cheated on Iris in a previous relationship, while in Los Angeles, Amanda breaks up with her boyfriend, who cheated on Amanda with his receptionist. Looking to escape the heartbreak during the Christmas season, Iris and Amanda agree to a home exchange for the holidays. Both Iris and Amanda meet local guys (Jack Black and Jude Law, respectively) in their new homes and begin to fall in love.
