Supernatural Season 15, Episode 7 brought us plenty of blasts from the past. Here’s a look at the five best lines from Last Call.
One of the benefits of having Dean run into an old friend in Supernatural Season 15, Episode 7 was the ability to reminisce and pay tribute to characters like John Winchester. Now it’s time to look back on the episode, pulling out the best five lines from the night.
There were two storylines going on. I know some will have taken to Dean’s story more than Sam’s and vice versa. I’m looking at lines from both storylines to be as fair as possible.
While you’re at it, you could give showbiz a shot for yourself. You got the look.

In an episode that was full of intense rides and throwbacks, we needed something lighthearted. That’s what we got at the very start of the episode, with the sheriff offering a tip to Dean. This guy was way too friendly and a little too inappropriate. Part of me wondered whether he was going to have something to do with it. And in a way, I was disappointed we didn’t see him later in the episode.

Let me rephrase. If you don’t help me tonight, I will find you and burn you alive.
Castiel’s negotiation skills have certainly developed. I love that we’re getting to see him more as a soldier, as someone who isn’t afraid to do what needs to be done to help his family. This is a skill he’s picked up from Dean along the way.
In this case, he was threatening Sergei to help Sam. Despite everything that’s happened, Castiel is still loyal to his friends. More importantly, we still have this bond building between Castiel and Sam.
Besides, who’s gonna look out after the little guy? God certainly isn’t.
Dean is certainly bitter about the whole God thing, and I can’t blame him. After he learns that Lee is the one that has turned into the monster, he brings up why he keeps hunting. He points out that if he doesn’t do it, then nobody will. And God certainly isn’t going to look out for anyone.
I was surprised Lee didn’t question what Dean meant about God. I’m guessing that was a conversation that happened somewhere in the off-screen process of reminiscing and catching Lee up on everything.
Listen to yourself. “We’re owed.” “We deserve.” Come on, man. You’re not God. Hell, God’s not even God.
This spoke volumes, and not just against Lee. It wasn’t just about Dean being angry at God or the situation. There was a huge lesson that we can all take. None of us are owed anything. We don’t deserve anything at all in life. We have to work at things.
Dean, Chuck is weak. I think we can beat him. I think we can beat God.
I love how this ends. Sam was in God’s head. He knows what is going on and has some hope. More importantly, he’s able to offer Dean some hope. There is a chance that they can beat God. And this is the point that Dean feels comfortable coming back into the fight against the biggest villain they’ve ever faced.
