In the midseason finale of Riverdale, Cheryl makes peace with Jason and Julian, Archie takes down Dodger, and Betty faces a string of strange attacks.

It’s finally time to meet Jughead’s much talked about grandfather, Forsythe Jones I, and his arrival is perfectly time with Riverdale’s Season 4 midseason finale. After weeks of digging into his grandfather’s history and place at Stonewall Prep, Jughead seems to have tracked down his MIA namesake, as Timothy Webber appears in the episode of FP’s long-lost father. Unfortunately, finding Forsythe I leads to even more questions rather providing the answers Jug wanted.

Elsewhere in the midseason finale, Riverdale gives Archie the chance to take down his most recent enemy, Dodger, for good. Archie teams up with FP, which leads to suspicions that he might be bending the law a little bit. Meanwhile, Betty enlists Charles in investigating attacks she has been facing, even from their own mother, and Veronica counterstrikes against her father with a little help from her Abuelita. Also, Cheryl peacefully ends her hauntings from the past.

More from CW

Where does Jughead find his grandfather, or does his grandfather find him? Honestly, how easy could it have been for Jughead (and Betty, probably) to find a man who didn’t seem to want to be found? What new information, if any, will they learn, and what new questions will arise?

How does Archie go about taking down Dodger with FP? Will settling the score allow Archie to go back home with Mary? How does Hiram react to Veronica pulling in Abuelita as an ally? What causes Betty to face these mysterious attacks? And how does Cheryl make peace with Jason and Julian?
