Jake Abel is finally back on Supernatural. It’s only taken until the final season but the Winchesters are getting their half-brother back. Or are they?

During SDCC, we learned that Adam Milligan would return to Supernatural Season 15. Well, now it turns out that it could be Michael. Who will Jake Abel play?

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor is going to play both characters. And it’s certainly going to be interesting. Richard Speight Jr. directed the episode and managed to find a way to help Abel create two distinct characters. Out of everyone on the set, he’s the director you want for a time like that, right?

What’s going to be interesting is that Michael and Adam will be able to find a way to work with each other. They’ve spent hundreds of years together in the Cage, trying to keep each other sane. It’s not surprising that they’ve created a bond that nobody else would have.

So, who do the Winchester brothers head to the Cage for? It’s hard to tell. It’s likely going to be Michael. Of course, an archangel is going to stand a better chance against God and Michael is the only one sort of still alive. Adam just has to or gets to come along for the ride. Hey, maybe Michael has grown some compassion and brings Adam along for the ride or refuses to leave!

For now, Abel is only going to be in the Supernatural Season 15 fall finale. However, there’s plenty of time to bring him back for more. It sounds like this episode is going to set up the remaining half of the final season, and both Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles believe that Adam/Michael needs to come back. We’ll have to wait and see if that happens.
