Dwyane Johnson and Kevin Hart are back for another adventure in Jumanji: The Next Level. Will you be watching the sequel in theaters this weekend?

The Jumanji franchise is here just in time for Christmas. Spencer and the gang are back for more action, laughs, and adventure in Jumanji: The Next Level, which opens in theaters on Dec. 13.

After the events of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Spencer (Alex Wolff) decided to keep the pieces to the Jumanji video game and repair the system. When Fridge (Ser’Darius William Blain), Bethany (Madison Iseman) and Martha (Morgan Turner) show up at Spencer’s house and he’s not there, the trio decides to re-enter the game in order to save their friend.

The core avatars from the previous film return once again. This includes Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson as Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Kevin Hart as Franklin “Mouse” Finbar, Jack Black as Professor Sheldon “Shelly” Oberon, and Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse.

However, before the teens can choose their avatars, Spencer’s grandfather, Eddie (Danny Devito), and his friend, Milo (Danny Glover), accidentally get sucked into the game too. Now, the teens must work with Eddie and Milo to help find Spencer and escape the game once again. Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Rhys Darby, and Colin Hanks round out the cast.

Welcome to the Jungle was a huge hit with audiences, grossing over $960 million at the worldwide box office. According to Variety,The Next Level is targetting an opening weekend of $45 million – $55 million in North America. The Next Level will try to copy the success of its predecessor, which relied on a long box office run.
