The Masked Singer Season 2 finale was a big hit in the Wednesday TV ratings. Here’s a look at the full results from a night of reality TV finales.

Survivor and The Masked Singer went head-to-head with finales on Dec. 18. You just knew which one was going to come out on top, right? Here’s a look at the Wednesday TV ratings for the night.

FOX started the night with a look back over previous clues and reveals on The Masked Singer Season 2. It stole the timeslot in the demo with a 1.7 rating and was only just off Survivor‘s audience with 6.43 million.

The finale was the episode that won the entire night. With a 20% uptick in the audience and 15% uptick in the demo, it ran away. The upward ticks aren’t surprising. People wanted to know who Flamingo, Rottweiler, and Fox were. And they wanted to know who would win.

Meanwhile, Survivor‘s finale came in second for the night, with a 1.3 demo (about steady from the previous episode). The total audience was down 4.6%, which could be linked to recent scandals surrounding the show or it could just be due to Trump’s Impeachment news covering most channels.

Other networks opted for specials or reruns. Live in Front of a Studio Audience got its new episode as ABC decided not to continue airing anything about the impeachment trials, and it was a good decision. 5.79 million people tuned in and it got a 1.1. demo rating, coming in third for the night (when you add The Masked Singer‘s special in with the finale an hour later).

The CW didn’t fare too badly with Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer in the 8 p.m. slot. The special pulled in 0.78 million viewers and a 0.2 demo, which is actually about average for a Wednesday night. Masters of Illusion didn’t keep those figures but they weren’t disastrous.
