When does Good Trouble return in 2020?
Now that Christmas at the Coterie is in the books, Good Trouble is nearing its official midseason premiere. Find out when Season 2 resumes on Freeform.

The Adams Foster family couldn’t stay out of trouble when everyone reunited for the holidays in Los Angeles. From Mariana finding Jamie’s ring for Callie, to Jude sneaking around with Carter, to Stef and Lena being uncertain of their future, the Good Trouble two-hour special was loaded with developments for many of our favorite characters and budding relationships.

Not only was the holiday special a good way to tie us over since the hiatus began in August, but it ended up garnering one of the best viewership numbers of the season with nearly 330,000 live viewers. To compare, the two-hour block drew more than the Season 2 premiere in June and was the most-viewed episode since Episode 3, “Doble Quince,” which aired in July. These numbers are almost on par with what the show drew on average throughout Season 1.
As 2019 ends and we grow closer to the one-year anniversary of Good Trouble gracing our screens, many are asking when Season 2 will return to Freeform. Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer once we hit the new year. Good Trouble‘s midseason premiere will air in its new time slot on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020 at 10 p.m. ET. This is a notable shift from the show’s original slot on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
Season 2B will explore Mariana’s troubles at work as a new investigation launches while Evan begins to ignore her. As for Callie, she’ll continue to navigate her relationship with Jamie while balancing her career choices and love-hate sisterhood with Mariana. Expect to see more interactions between Davia and Dennis, Malika and Isaac, and lots of comedic relief from Alice.
