5 TV shows and movies to watch on Disney Plus in January 2020

New Year, new you, new movies and TV shows at Disney Plus! Here are our five picks that include movies and TV shows coming to the streaming service Jan. 2020.
Disney Plus launched with a large library already in store. This includes movie classics such as Pinocchio, and most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But as far as original, exclusive content goes, the Disney streamer is still working on it. What can we expect to find available in January 2020? Here are our five top picks!
Aside from new episodes of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Forky Asks a Question, and others coming in January, here’s what not to miss:
The Proud Family: You won’t have to wait long to re-watch your childhood favorite series, The Proud Family (season 1 and 2) will be available only on Disney Plus Jan. 1! Were you a fan of the cartoon growing up? It’s a classic!

Holes: Speaking of classics, Holes is sure to take you way, way back! The movie stars Sigourney Weaver, Jon Voight, Patricia Arquette, Shia LaBeof and others. Holes premiered in theaters on April 18, 2003, and is still one of the best movies of all-time. Watch it again Jan. 1.
Aladdin: Fans may have mixed reactions about the latest Aladdin, so if you haven’t seen it, you have nothing to lose by streaming it on Disney Plus on Jan. 8. If you loved it, all the more reason to be sure you stream the movie as soon as it becomes available.
The Runaways: Are you subscribed to Hulu and a fan of Marvel? If so, chances are you have already watched the third season of The Runaways. But in case you have been missing out, watch season 3 on Jan. 10.
The Lion King: Another great movie that had audiences divided is The Lion King (2019)! For the most part, I enjoyed the movie, but I can definitely understand the criticism it received. Still, I’ll be watching it again on Jan. 28.
