5 best lines from Supernatural Season 7, Episode 17
Dean goes in search of a healer for Sammy in Supernatural Season 7, Episode 17. Here are my five favorite lines from The Born-Again Identity.
Dean needed to do anything to save his brother in Supernatural Season 7, Episode 17. Who would have thought it would lead to him running across an old friend? I break down the episode with my five favorite lines from “The Born-Again Identity.”
Tell the nice tweaker you’d be sleeping right now if the devil would leave you alone.
Hallucifer kicks off the best lines with this one. The devil is literally tormenting Sam in his head. Well, a version of the devil, one that Sam remembers in the Cage. It’s hard to remember sometimes that this isn’t the real Lucifer in there. This is one of those moments where it’s easy to think that Hallucifer and Lucifer are the same beings.
Last faith healer we hooked up with had a reaper on a leash.
I’m glad that Sam brought this up. When I first read the synopsis that Dean was going to go in search of a faith healer, I thought about “Faith.” And we know how that ended up. But Dean is in the same position Sam was back then. He’s desperate and he’s willing to do anything to save his brother.
I’m sorry – is that a flirtation?
Ah, Emmanuel/Castiel had some excellent lines as he remained his peaceful self. Before he remembered that he was Castiel, he looked at the world in a positive and calm way. And then Meg showed up, and their little flirtation dance started again. I love that we got this reminder of their flirtation the last time they saw each other.
Narcissistic personality disorder. Okay, now this one I could have.
Hallucifer gets the next great line. He is going through the list of personality disorders and mental illnesses. Oh yes, Lucifer definitely has narcissistic personality disorder. Again, this is a moment that can make us forget that this isn’t the real Luci in Sam’s head. It’s a hallucination but seems so real and links back to all that time Sam and Luci spent in the cage together.
Quit being Dalai-friggin-Yoda about this. Get pissed!
Dean finishes off with the best lines with this one. He connects a real person with a Star Wars reference and it’s just perfect for him. Who else would connect the two so brilliantly? This is what I love about Dean. We all know exactly what he meant, right?
