5. “True Colors,” Cyndi Lauper

This is the most emotional song yet! Zoey is telling her dad about an awful day at work, how discouraged she feels about the promotion, and how nothing seems to be going right for her. Zoey also shares how much she misses him, the only person who ever truly understood her. Suddenly, her dad Mitch (Peter Gallagher) begins to sing “True Colors” to her. This doesn’t only prove that Mitch is still able to process what is happening, but he is there for Zoey.

6. “I think I Love You,” The Partridge Family

Finally, the episode wraps up with a huge surprise for Zoey. Her best friend confesses his feelings for her! Well, more or so! While chatting, Max (Skylar Astin) begins to dance and sing “I Think I Love You” to a very surprised Zoey. This is her best friend! She has never considered him anything more, but could things change or has this just ruined their friendship?
