In the latest episode of Superstore, Cloud 9’s acquisition finds Amy struggling to make contact with corporate, while Jonah takes on gender equality.

Superstore returns for its first episode of 2020 in the wake of the midseason finale’s major cliffhanger. Ahead of the Christmas holiday, which found Amy chopping down a tree and knocking out the power at the store, Amy discovered that Cloud 9 had been acquired by a new parent company. Being so, the union deal Jonah and Sandra coerced out of corporate has been rendered null and void. Of course, Amy kept the news of the acquisition to herself. Uh oh?

The newest episode already sees Amy wading through the weeds of Cloud 9’s new parent company. She can’t seem to lock down communication with the new parent company, making the move forward all the more difficult. Meanwhile, Garrett and Dina help Sandra stand up to Carol’s demeaning behavior, and Glenn ponders a major career decision. Apparently, Jonah isn’t too hurt by Amy’s secret, as he takes on his latest cause of gender equality in responses to the store’s new clothing line.
