Million Dollar Arm (2014)

A moving true story, Million Dollar Arm shows the great lengths a sports agent will go to achieve his success. J.B. Bernstein (Jon Hamm) has always been a successful sports agent, but when he becomes mired in a drought of finding the next big prospect, he decides to fly somewhere with more people than many other places: India.

In the second most populated country in the world, Bernstein hopes to find promising prospects who can develop into baseball phenomenons. To do so, he hosts Million Dollar Arm, which will identify talent with the strongest pitching arm.

When Bernstein hits the nail in the coffin and finds two great prospects in Dinesh Patel (Madhur Mittal) and Rinku Singh (Suraj Sharma), he decides to bring them back to Los Angeles and train them. Despite the culture shock for the two boys, everything is now on the line as Bernstein and the two players try to prove the contest success—and their talent—is not a mistake.

This film also features Alan Arkin, Lake Bell, and Aasif Mandvi.

The Sandlot (1993)

One of the classic childhood sports movies for many, The Sandlot was a touching film about playing ball in the neighborhood. Scotty Smalls (Tom Guiry) is the new kid in town and looking for a way into a social circle. Though he may not be the most athletically-gifted child, he participates in friendly games of baseball at the town’s sandlot.

However, when Scotty gets too comfortable and accidentally hits a Babe Ruth signed baseball (of his stepfather) into a fenced yard containing a monstrous dog named the Beast, Scotty and his squad are in a home run of trouble! The beloved film has two subsequent installments, which released in 2005 and 2007, respectively.
