Tyler Perry’s A Fall From Grace tells the story of Grace Waters fighting to get her freedom back. Tyler Perry is back with his first movie of the year only on Netflix!

Tyler Perry, one of Hollywood’s most multi-talented writers, has taken his talents to the popular streaming service Netflix with the legal thriller A Fall From Grace. With an impressive cast that includes Phylicia Rashad, veteran actress Cicely Tyson, Mehcad Brooks, Crystal Brooks, and Bresha Webb, the film is enjoyable for all viewers. A Fall From Grace takes you on a bumpy ride and a couple of twists sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

A Fall From Grace stars Crystal Fox as Grace Water, an upstanding citizen who has confessed to murdering her younger husband Shannon(Mehcad Brooks). Jasmine Bryant(Bresha Webb), a lawyer from the public defender’s office is put on Grace’s high profile case for her to take a plea deal. As Jasmine starts to learn the truth about Grace and Shannon’s relationship, she realizes Grace is innocent.

As Grace shares the details of how Shannon wooed her, viewers get to see how the man she loved so dearly would destroy her life, forever taking her money, confidence, and freedom. Even Grace’s “best friend” Sarah (Phylicia Rashad) has a few secrets of her own that might undo everything Grace thought she knew to be true.

In the end, Jasmine does everything in power to make sure Grace has a fair trial and the truth can set her free. Crystal Fox shines as the lead role and provides viewers a different side to her besides her role on The Haves and Haves Not.

Bresha Webb’s performance in A Fall From Grace showcases a different side to her acting ability and I can’t wait to see her in more dramatic roles in the future. Phylicia Rashad’s performance was phenomenal, especially at the end with the major twist.

By the end of the movie, A Fall From Grace will make you cautious of who you call a friend and share your personal business with. The only downfall from watching the movie is seeing past the bad wigs, I mean it could have been better. But if you want to enjoy a movie with a good plot and unexpected surprises then you definitely should check out this movie!
