Whether you have yet to watch Just Mercy or would love to see it again, here’s when and where you can stream it from home once it leaves the big screen.

UPDATE 6/3: The movie Just Mercy has just been made free to rent for the month of June on all digital platforms in the US.

The legal drama, Just Mercy, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx, is an underrated treasure. While big pictures are capturing all the attention, Just Mercy is being overlooked. You can blame the limited release or poor promotional efforts, but there are no excuses to not see this movie.

Though I do recommend Just Mercy to be watched on the big screen, I understand you may not want to go out of your way to see it in theaters. There are a lot of reasons for this. For starters, a legal drama may not be your go-to genre, and I completely understand. Why spend the money when you may not even enjoy it? This brings me to my next point, ticket prices.

Nowadays, it can cost you up to $17 to go to the movies to watch one film, that doesn’t even include popcorn and other snacks. Who wants to spend that? Instead, why not stream the movie from the comfort of your own home on a streaming service you are already subscribed to?

Just Mercy tells the true story of Walter McMillian, who appeals his murder conviction with the help of defense attorney Bryan Stevenson. It’s a remarkable and emotional story, based on the memoir of the same name by Stevenson.

Here’s when and where you can stream the movie:

Just Mercy is distributed by Warner Bros., which has also handled the release of several other films that are scattered all over the place. We’re talking Netflix, Xfinity, and Cinemax. Therefore, we’re not certain where Just Mercy will land.

My guess is definitely not Netflix, the other two are a possibility. But let’s not forget that Warner Bros. is soon launching their streaming service. The company could very well add this film on to their new library.
