Tonight’s all-new episode is MTV’s Catfish is very different from the rest. Season 8, Episode 3 is all about sister-sister drama! We’ve got all you need to know so you don’t miss a minute of it.

“Sparkayla and Maritha” is breaking all typical Catfish rules. This episode is not about long-distance love and relationships, it’s a sister trying to reunite with her sister. Sure, there are shaky video chats, suspicious messages, and one too many no-shows. So, in a sense, it’s just like most episodes, but, instead, it’s packed with family drama.

This season of Catfish is featuring Catfish victims who, rather than reach out to Nev themselves, who have had someone else call Nev and Kamie. This can be a family member or concerned friend, but not the person who is being Catfished. In the case of “Sparkayla and Maritha,” it is Sparkayla’s wife who messages Nev about “Maritha,” a woman claiming to be Sparkayla’s sister.

Maritha hasn’t shown up to meet ups she arranges with Sparkayla and does not video chat. Is she nervous or a fake? Lock in your predictions! Is Maritha a typical Catfish, the real deal, or someone Sparkayla already knows?
